The project is at a very early stage. The Lead Game Designer will own the overall gameplay vision to deliver cohesive, fun, and accessible player experiences. They will define core mechanics, systems, progression, and ensure that all features align with the product goals and audience needs. The Lead Game Designer will also be expected to deliver early prototypes. There is a genuine opportunity to convert this role into full-time in the future.
Qualifications:
- Ability to create clear, detailed design documentation and communicate concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Prior experience in a lead or senior design role and a portfolio or shipped titles demonstrating relevant game and level design work.
- Technical ability to deliver prototypes.
- Strong game design skills, including experience defining core mechanics, systems, and progression for PC games.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the use of player data and feedback to iterate on gameplay and balance.
- Familiarity with common game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Relevant education or equivalent professional experience in game design, game development, computer science, interactive media, or a related field is preferred.
- Right to work in the UK.
