Our client are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator/Welder to join their manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, primarily using TIG welding techniques, to produce high-quality products within tight deadlines. The ideal applicant will possess mechanical knowledge and basic mathematical skills to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including mild steel, stainless steel, titanium and aluminium.
- Fabricate parts according to technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication processes.
- Read technical drawings to determine measurements and weld points.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to meet company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding and general fabrication work.
- Proficiency in welding techniques specific to motorsport/aerospace standards.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Basic mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding or fabrication are desirable but not essential.
- Experience within the motorsport industry is preferred.
Overtime is available at x1.5.
