A well-established UK recycling and end-of-life asset management organisation is seeking a Head of Department - End-of-Life Asset Management (Distribution Transformers) to support continued business growth. This is a senior operational role within a stable, long-standing business working with utility and commercial clients.
Hours: Monday-Friday 07:00-17:00, Saturday 07:00-12:00 (flexible/site-based)
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities- Oversee receipt, processing, decontamination and oil recovery of end-of-life distribution transformers
- Manage asset tracking, inspection, sampling and documentation with 100% data compliance
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety and waste regulations
- Lead and develop a small operational team
- Monitor KPIs, stock balances, maintenance schedules and subcontractor activity
- Prepare operational and client reports and identify process improvements
- Supervisory or management experience in end-of-life asset management or a related industry
- Strong understanding of H&S and environmental compliance
- Experience managing small teams and operational data
- Confident communicator with good reporting and organisational skills
- Engineering or environmental qualification
- Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations
- IOSH/NEBOSH certification
- Competitive salary based on experience
