A well-established UK recycling and end-of-life asset management organisation is seeking a Head of Department - End-of-Life Asset Management (Distribution Transformers) to support continued business growth. This is a senior operational role within a stable, long-standing business working with utility and commercial clients.

Hours: Monday-Friday 07:00-17:00, Saturday 07:00-12:00 (flexible/site-based)

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee receipt, processing, decontamination and oil recovery of end-of-life distribution transformers
  • Manage asset tracking, inspection, sampling and documentation with 100% data compliance
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety and waste regulations
  • Lead and develop a small operational team
  • Monitor KPIs, stock balances, maintenance schedules and subcontractor activity
  • Prepare operational and client reports and identify process improvements
Requirements
  • Supervisory or management experience in end-of-life asset management or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of H&S and environmental compliance
  • Experience managing small teams and operational data
  • Confident communicator with good reporting and organisational skills
Desirable
  • Engineering or environmental qualification
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations
  • IOSH/NEBOSH certification
