Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Freezer/Ambient Operative to join our warehouse operations team. This role involves working across both chilled/freezer environments and ambient areas, ensuring stock is organised, picked, and maintained to company standards while supporting the safe setup and management of lighting systems within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and move stock within freezer and ambient areas.
- Maintain correct stock rotation following FIFO principles.
- Assist with goods-in and goods-out processes.
- Ensure all areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards.
- Use handheld scanners or warehouse systems to update stock information.
- Operate pallet trucks or other warehouse equipment (training provided if required).
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience (freezer/chilled environment preferred but not essential).
- Comfortable working in cold temperatures with PPE supplied.
- Basic understanding of warehouse health & safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting where required.
- Ability to work weekends as it would be a 5 over 7 shift pattern.
