A growing and forward-thinking forklift dealer is seeking a Workshop Engineer to join its team at a busy workshop location.

The Role

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of material handling equipment, including diesel, gas, and electric forklift trucks. The role also involves working on customer-owned equipment as well as a rental fleet.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on various equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and ensuring timely, effective resolutions
  • Completing service and job documentation accurately
  • Following all health and safety procedures and maintaining safe working practices
  • Working both independently and as part of a team

About You

  • Experience working with material handling equipment is desirable but not essential
  • Candidates with backgrounds in plant machinery, powered access, agricultural equipment, HGVs, or automotive engineering are encouraged to apply
  • Basic electrical knowledge is advantageous
  • Well organised, reliable, and punctual
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to use initiative and manage workload effectively

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
