Vehicle Prepper
Location: Rochester
Salary: £13.50 - £15.96 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:30 - 16:30
Vehicle Prepper - Rochester
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join a busy Bodyshop team based in Kingsnorth.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous vehicle preparation or Bodyshop experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work and wants to be part of a professional and hardworking team.
The Role
As a Vehicle Prepper, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles and panels ready for paint, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing vehicles for paint, including sanding, masking and priming panels.
- Ensuring panels are properly prepared and free from defects.
- Working on a variety of vehicles, from cars through to light commercial vehicles.
- Checking repairs before starting preparation work.
- Working to agreed processes and quality standards.
- Completing work within allocated timescales and production targets.
- Supporting other areas of the Bodyshop when required.
- Maintaining a clean and professional working environment.
- Supporting junior technicians and colleagues where required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Prepper, Bodyshop Technician or similar.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for the automotive industry.
- Pride in producing work to a high standard.
- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence and the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
- A minimum of 2 years' driving experience.
- Must be 21+ for insurance purposes.
