We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a busy and growing operation in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Working as part of a supportive team, you will be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, preparing orders for dispatch, and helping to keep warehouse operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Preparing goods for dispatch and processing returns
- Replenishing stock and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Loading and unloading deliveries when required
- Using warehouse management and computerised systems
- Communicating effectively with colleagues regarding stock movements
- Coordinating with transport providers to support timely deliveries
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
- Supporting the wider warehouse operation as required
This is a hands-on role that involves being on your feet throughout the day, with some manual handling and lifting duties.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous warehouse experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic IT skills, including the use of email and warehouse systems
- The ability to follow processes and work effectively within a team
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A forklift counterbalance licence (desirable, but not essential)
- A full UK driving licence and access to transport due to the location
