Job Description
Position; OPERATIONS MANAGER
Location; Witney, Oxfordshire
Salary; £35,000 – £45,000 per annum
Planet Recruitment have registered an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager for our client based in the Witney area. The successful candidate will be responsible on the day-to-day management of the factory, training production / warehouse staff along with ensuring all operations run smoothly. Ideally you would have managed large teams within your previous management experience.
Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week with some flexibility on these hours due to shift patterns.
Main responsibilities;
· Planning and managing production resources to meet output and financial targets
· Monitoring production progress and ensuring timely delivery of products
· Upholding quality standards across all manufacturing processes
· Leading, coaching, and developing production staff through structured performance frameworks
· Driving process improvements using Lean tools and best practices
· Creating a culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration
· Tracking production KPIs and initiating improvement plans
· Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintaining housekeeping standards
Required / Qualifications;
· Minimum of 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment
· Previous success in a production management role
· Proven track record in applying Lean and continuous improvement methodologies
· Encouraging leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
