Salary: £26,000 - £30,000

Hours: 37.5 per week between Monday-Friday

My client is a very well-respected independent school that is looking to add an IT Support Officer to their IT Team. Reporting to the Head of IT Services, this is a front-line, customer-facing position providing technical support to staff and pupils across the School. You will help ensure the smooth operation of the systems and provide practical assistance with a range of IT and audio-visual equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and an interest in technology to develop their experience within a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and pupils, resolving IT issues promptly and professionally
  • Assist with the setup, maintenance, and deployment of devices for the School's 1:1 Surface Programme
  • Support users of desk-based devices and classroom technology, including Surface docking stations and display screens
  • Maintain and support the School's audio-visual systems
  • Manage and maintain the School's bank of exam laptops, liaising with the Exams Officer to ensure their effective deployment
  • Provide technical support for visiting speakers and school events, including Progress Review Evenings (Parents' Evenings)
  • Monitor and maintain printer toner supplies and carry out replacements as required
  • Liaise with third-party companies regarding warranty claims and support requests
  • Contribute to ongoing IT projects and initiatives as required.
