We are working with a specialist engineering manufacturer seeking a Trainee Fabricator Welder to join their growing workshop team in Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their fabrication career to develop hands-on skills within a high-quality precision manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided, with the role developing into a Junior Fabricator/Welder position focused on fabrication and welding once fully trained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of fabrication kits and components
  • Form welding of tubes and fabricated parts
  • Polishing and finishing metal components
  • Basic fabrication and welding of sub-assemblies
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Supporting workshop organisation and maintenance
  • Assisting with goods in/out and stock handling

Requirements

  • GNVQ or equivalent in Fabrication & Welding
  • Basic MIG/TIG welding skills
  • Ability to read basic fabrication drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
