We are working with a specialist engineering manufacturer seeking a Trainee Fabricator Welder to join their growing workshop team in Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their fabrication career to develop hands-on skills within a high-quality precision manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided, with the role developing into a Junior Fabricator/Welder position focused on fabrication and welding once fully trained.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of fabrication kits and components
- Form welding of tubes and fabricated parts
- Polishing and finishing metal components
- Basic fabrication and welding of sub-assemblies
- Working from engineering drawings
- Supporting workshop organisation and maintenance
- Assisting with goods in/out and stock handling
Requirements
- GNVQ or equivalent in Fabrication & Welding
- Basic MIG/TIG welding skills
- Ability to read basic fabrication drawings
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
