Vehicle Paint Technician - Rochester

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Paint Technician to join a busy and professional automotive bodyshop in Rochester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paint Sprayer or Bodyshop Technician who takes pride in their work and is passionate about the automotive industry.

You will be responsible for preparing and painting vehicles to a high standard, ensuring accurate colour matching and excellent attention to detail throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting, including masking and preparation work where required.
• Spray paint vehicles using water-based paints.
• Check paint colours and prepare spray-out cards to ensure an accurate colour match.
• Complete paintwork to a consistently high standard.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Ensure all painting equipment is clean, maintained and working correctly.
• Work independently on vehicles and make decisions when required.
• Support the wider bodyshop team across other departments when necessary.
• Provide guidance and support to junior technicians when required.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Paint Technician, Paint Sprayer or Bodyshop Technician - essential.
• Experience working within an automotive bodyshop environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence - essential.
• Experience with vehicle preparation and paint spraying.
• Good knowledge of colour matching and paint preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• A passion for the motor industry.
• A willingness to support and mentor junior technicians.
• Pride in producing work to the highest possible standard.
