Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
Friday: Early finish

We are currently recruiting for a Woodwork Assembler to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Banbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in woodwork, carpentry, joinery, furniture assembly or general woodworking who is looking for a long-term position within a stable working environment.

The Role

As a Woodwork Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and preparing wooden components and products to a high standard. You will use a range of hand and power tools, ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembling wooden components and products
• Using a variety of hand and power tools
• Operating tools such as nail guns, bench saws and ply rip saws
• Measuring, cutting and fitting wooden materials accurately
• Working from drawings, measurements and assembly instructions
• Ensuring finished products meet the required quality standards
• Carrying out visual quality checks throughout the assembly process
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• Following company health and safety procedures
• Working efficiently to meet daily production targets
• Supporting other areas of the production process when required

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in woodwork, carpentry, joinery, furniture assembly or a similar hands-on environment
• Experience using power tools, ideally including nail guns, bench saws and ply rip saws
• Good practical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to accurately measure and work to specifications
• The ability to follow drawings and written instructions
• A good understanding of workplace health and safety
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Previous woodworking or assembly experience is highly desirable.

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: Early finish
• Pay: £12.71 per hour
• Temporary to permanent opportunity
• Full training and support provided
