We are currently recruiting for Batch Inspection Operators to support a short-term assignment within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Swindon. This role involves working on a rotating shift pattern (days and nights) and requires a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and compliance. This is an immediate start role, suitable for candidates available to commit to the full 2-week assignment onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed visual inspection of tablet blister packs for defects including dents in foil, broken or missing tablets, improper sealing, and other specified quality issues.
  • Identify and remove defective units in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Accurately record and report inspection findings to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Support batch changeover activities as required.
  • Verify batch information including lot numbers, expiry dates, and packaging integrity.
  • Maintain a clean and compliant inspection area at all times.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, including appropriate gowning and adherence to site safety procedures.
  • Escalate any deviations or quality concerns to the Supervisor or Quality Assurance team.

Requirements

  • Availability for immediate start (no notice period accepted).
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or quality inspection environments is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of or willingness to follow GMP and strict compliance standards.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work onsite in Swindon for the duration of the assignment.

Additional Information

  • Fully onsite role (Swindon).
  • No overtime payable.
  • Umbrella company rate to be confirmed inclusive of net take-home pay requirement.
