Position: Software Engineer – Cloud Video Pipeline

Location: UK – Remote

Client: Medical Devices

Type – FTE: 3 months – full-time

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize custom cloud-based video pipelines.
• Leverage hardware acceleration for video capture, processing, AI inference, and streaming.
• Develop robust, secure software for medical-grade systems.
• Maintain high-quality, reliable code and participate in reviews.

Requirements:

• Advanced Python skills for numerical and performance-focused computing.
• Good experience with video processing / streaming software.
• Experience with AI inference acceleration (TensorRT, ONNX Runtime) and scientific libraries (NumPy, CuPy, SciPy).
• Expertise in hardware-accelerated video encoding/decoding.
• Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to own projects end-to-end.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with CUDA/OpenCL, video codecs (H.264, H.265, VP9), and AWS (EKS, SQS).
• Strong Linux knowledge.
