The predicted salary is between 29700 - 36300 £ per year.

Type: Contract (2 months, initially)

Location: London (hybrid, 3 days per week onsite)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support on IP matters.
  • Co-ordinate and maintain support for the IP team for all administrative duties.
  • Maintaining intellectual property (IP) records in a database and extracting information by generating reports.
  • Electronic filing of incoming/outgoing correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate prosecution files for patents and patent applications.
  • Attending to patent formalities such as inventor assignments.
  • Monitoring deadlines to ensure necessary actions are taken by responsible staff.
  • Checking and processing invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records of prior art to support IDS (Information Disclosure Statements) obligations and manage IDS-related activities, including coordinating the review, preparation and timely filing of IDS’s across relevant patent matters.
  • Managing the IP team shared inbox and ensuring that all incoming enquiries and requests are appropriately triaged, tracked and actioned.
  • Managing publication database, monitoring deadlines, maintaining accurate records.
  • Organising, coordinating and maintaining records of IP-related training and awareness activities, including onboarding, refresher training and internal educational programmes.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of IP procedures, guidance documents and operational processes.
  • Accurate creation and maintenance of records in the IP database according to established procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal studies or a related field.
  • Experience of handling patent formalities, obtained either in-house or in private practice.
  • Experience using an IP docketing and document management system.
  • CIPA Patent Administrator qualification.
