An exciting opportunity for a publications-focused Medical Writer to join a growing, data-driven life sciences company developing innovative diagnostic technologies that are transforming the management of cancer patients. You’ll join a collaborative in-house team that operates with the energy and agility of a medical communications agency, but with the long-term product ownership and scientific depth of industry. We’re looking for passionate writers who love turning complex data into clear, engaging, and scientifically rigorous publications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to the development of scientific publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide decks.
- Analyse and interpret complex datasets to create insightful, accurate, and publication-ready content.
- Collaborate with internal experts and external authors to deliver high-quality outputs aligned with company strategy.
- Ensure editorial excellence and compliance with ICMJE and GPP3 publication standards.
- Support strategic publication planning and tracking within a growing oncology portfolio.
- Occasionally assist with literature reviews or data analysis projects as part of wider team support.
About You
- Life sciences degree required – PhD preferred, or MSc/BSc with strong relevant experience.
- 3–5 years’ experience in medical writing (for Senior role) or 1–3 years (for Junior role).
- Proven track record in publication writing - must have at least one prostate cancer publication where you are acknowledged as the medical writer or author.
- Experience in medical imaging or PET is highly desirable.
- Background in a medical communications agency, pharma, or medical device company preferred.
- Not suited to purely academic profiles - this is a fast-moving, cross-functional commercial environment.
- Comfortable interpreting complex data tables and working directly from data outputs (no CSR templates).
- Excellent communication, time management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
