Location: Edinburgh, Scotland - 5 days on-site required

Responsibilities
- Manage month‑end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and preparation of management account
- Ensure accurate balance sheet, bank, intercompany, and trial balance reconciliation
- Support cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and financial reporting processes
- Oversee and support the Accounts Payable process in partnership with Shared Service Centre
- Manage manufacturing accounting activities, including costing and Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for local and corporate stakeholder
- Support year‑end audits and the preparation of statutory accounts
- Ensure compliance with UK tax requirements, including VAT and corporate tax obligation
- Provide financial analysis, budgeting support, and management information to support business decision making
- Build strong relationships with finance and operational teams and contribute to process improvements and ad hoc projects
Requirements
- Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or qualified by experience
- Experience in management accounting, financial accounting, and costing within a manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or similar environment
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT legislation, and financial controls
- Exposure to US GAAP is advantage
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems such as JDE is preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
