A leading global insights consultancy is seeking an experienced Research Director to join its growing healthcare and MedTech practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys end‑to‑end ownership of studies, and brings deep expertise across both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering high‑impact research for major MedTech and healthcare clients. You’ll lead complex projects, guide junior team members, and collaborate closely with clients to shape strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full‑cycle market research studies from kick‑off to final delivery, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to timelines.
- Act as the primary client contact throughout projects, including running client calls, presenting findings, and managing expectations.
- Oversee the development of all research materials (screeners, discussion guides, surveys, etc.), with hands‑on involvement in drafting and refining content.
- Direct analysis and reporting, contributing to report structure, insight generation, and storytelling while coaching junior researchers.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, providing feedback, guidance, and support in their development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high‑quality outputs and strong project performance.
About You
- 7–8+ years of market research experience, including significant exposure to healthcare.
- 6+ years of experience in MedTech, ideally with familiarity across multiple device categories (e.g., surgical devices, urology, GI, women’s health, cardiovascular).
- Strong proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research.
- Demonstrated ability to design discussion guides, surveys, and deliver compelling reports.
- Moderation experience is a plus.
- Proven track record of leading complex studies independently and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in people management, including line management and mentoring junior staff.
