Type: 3 months contract initially - potential extension
Main Responsibilities
- Provide onsite EHS support in collaboration with the EHS Director to ensure safe and compliant site operations
- Develop, review, and update risk assessments for laboratory, facility, and construction activities
- Create and deliver EHS training for site staff and contractors
- Complete and review COSHH assessments in line with UK regulatory requirements
- Write, revise, and standardise SOPs to support safe working practices
- Support incident investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective action tracking
- Review contractor RAMS and manage Permits to Work
- Act as an EHS advisor to operational and technical teams across the site
Main Requirements
- Proven experience in an EHS advisory or similar role, ideally within biotech, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or technical environments
- Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation and EHS best practices
- Ability to produce clear, practical EHS documentation (risk assessments, SOPs, COSHH, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) required; NEBOSH Diploma preferred
- Ability to work full-time onsite (no remote working available)
