We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join a leading animal health laboratory on a fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on role supporting laboratory operations, sample processing, and quality assurance in a highly regulated ISO 17025 environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Process and analyse laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Log, scan, and store samples, maintaining high data quality and traceability.
- Prepare reagents, maintain chemical stocks, and perform cell lysis.
- Conduct equipment calibration, in-house quality checks, and routine lab maintenance.
- Work safely in cold environments (cold rooms, freezers) while following SOPs and health & safety procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support customer stock levels and inter-lab sample shipments.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
- Experience in lab work to ISO 17025 standard.
- Strong pipetting skills and experience handling chemicals.
- Proficient in MS Office and basic lab software.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to follow instructions.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours: Rotating shifts: 08:00 - 16:00 and 09:00 - 17:00
