  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced

Business Development Manager to join a growing Capital Equipment division within a well-established healthcare organization operating in the infection prevention and healthcare technology sector.

This is a field-based role covering the

North of England and Scotland , focused on driving new business and developing strategic relationships across NHS and private healthcare accounts.

The business is a recognized market leader within infection prevention, with a strong presence across UK healthcare and an expanding international footprint.

The Capital Equipment division is a high-growth area of the company, offering an opportunity to sell innovative healthcare technology solutions that help hospitals improve infection prevention, decontamination processes, patient safety, and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive new business development across NHS Trusts and private healthcare providers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to implementation and account growth.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within infection prevention, decontamination, and healthcare technology environments.
  • Conduct customer meetings, product demonstrations, evaluations, and on-site trials.
  • Develop bespoke commercial proposals and business cases.
  • Manage procurement processes, tenders, and framework opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across healthcare organizations.
  • Deliver product training and ongoing customer support to ensure successful adoption and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize territory growth and commercial performance.
  • Develop strategic account plans and identify opportunities for expansion within existing customers.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and exhibitions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5+ years of sales experience within healthcare, medical devices, capital equipment, healthcare technology, infection prevention, decontamination, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in business development and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Experience selling capital equipment, medical equipment, healthcare technology, or other high-value healthcare solutions.
  • Experience selling into NHS Trusts and/or private healthcare providers.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage clinical, operational, procurement, and senior decision-makers.
  • Experience conducting demonstrations, evaluations, trials, and customer training.
  • Knowledge of Infection Prevention, Decontamination, Sterilization, Endoscopy, CSSD, Sterile Services, or related healthcare environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience with tendering, procurement, and NHS Supply Chain processes is advantageous.
  • Consultative, relationship-led sales approach with strong commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing a large territory independently.
