Overview
As Field Service Engineer, you will install, maintain, and repair advanced laser and energy-based systems to keep critical medical devices performing at peak. You will manage your territory, plan visits, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure seamless customer support. You’ll diagnose complex electronic, optical, and mechanical issues and collaborate across teams to improve product performance. This role offers autonomy, hands-on problem solving, and opportunities to upsell upgrades and service agreements. You’ll work across the UK and EU, travel-ready, with a focus on delivering service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair advanced laser and energy-based systems to support clinicians.
- Own your territory by planning service visits and coordinating with dispatch.
- Diagnose complex issues using electronics, optics, and mechanical knowledge.
- Collaborate with internal teams to escalate cases and share insights for product improvements.
- Promote service excellence through clear communication and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Identify opportunities for upgrades, training, and service agreements.
- Travel frequently and manage customer relationships during on-site visits.
Key requirements
- Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience
- Several years handling complex electronic systems; laser experience is a bonus
- Strong troubleshooting instincts and creative thinking under pressure
- Friendly, confident communication style
- Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel across the UK and EU
