We’re looking for an experienced IP Administrator to support a busy Intellectual Property team, ensuring patent records, deadlines and processes are managed accurately and efficiently.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in keeping the IP function running smoothly, managing patent administration, maintaining databases, coordinating with external patent attorneys and supporting the protection of valuable intellectual property assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain patent and IP records within the IP management system
- Monitor critical deadlines and coordinate timely actions
- Manage patent prosecution files and correspondence
- Handle patent formalities, including inventor assignments
- Liaise with inventors, external patent firms and internal stakeholders
- Process invoices and maintain accurate documentation
- Support IDS activities and prior art record management
- Manage the team inbox and publication database
- Coordinate IP training, onboarding and awareness activities
- Support continuous improvement of IP procedures and processes
About You
- Previous patent administration experience gained in-house or within private practice
- Experience using IP docketing and document management systems
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- CIPA Patent Administrator qualification
- Positive, proactive and collaborative approach to work
