Paediatric Clinical Research Nurse – Bristol (ADHOC WORK)

Location: Bristol (Candidates within approx. 1.5 hours’ drive preferred)

Start Date: ASAP

Rate: MARKET-PAYE (half-rate paid for travel time)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Nurse to support a Phase III flu vaccine trial for participants aged 12 years and older. The role involves working on-site in Bristol and managing all participant visits for this location.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and full LPA assessments.
• Administer infusions and access ports as required by the study protocol.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with study procedures.
• Provide high-quality care and maintain patient safety throughout the trial.

Essential Requirements

• Current NMC registration (Paediatric PIN preferred; RGNs considered if experienced with paediatric patients).
• Competency in phlebotomy and infusion administration.
• Up-to-date IV passport and paediatric Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (in-person preferred).
• Ideally trained in Oliver McGowan and Safeguarding.
• Recent experience working with paediatric patients.

Additional Information

• Candidates with an enhanced DBS check registered on the DBS Update Service will be prioritized (this significantly speeds up onboarding).
• Alternatively, a full enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months will be considered.
• Please ensure candidates can provide their DBS details and three forms of ID (Passport, Driving License, Utility Bill) for interview.
