Planet Pharma is supporting a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in the search for an Engineering Coordinator to join their site engineering team. This position sits at the centre of day-to-day engineering operations, helping to ensure maintenance and contractor activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with site and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with engineers, contractors, and key stakeholders across the site, you’ll play an important role in keeping operations running smoothly while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance. You’ll be involved in coordinating contractor activities, reviewing RAMS and permits, scheduling maintenance work, and ensuring engineering records and documentation remain accurate and up to date. The role will also provide exposure to compliance activities, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
About You: We’re interested in speaking with candidates who have previous experience coordinating contractors or maintenance activities within an engineering, facilities, manufacturing, or similar environment. You’ll be comfortable working with Permit-to-Work systems and reviewing RAMS, while balancing multiple priorities in a busy operational setting. You should be confident building relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, with the communication skills to challenge where necessary and ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
Experience using maintenance management systems and maintaining accurate documentation will be important, as will a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Exposure to regulated environments such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, FMCG, or manufacturing would be advantageous. Knowledge of GMP, Quality Management Systems, audits, deviations, change controls, or CAPA processes would also be beneficial, although not essential. Additional qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH would be welcomed.
Education & Experience: You’ll ideally hold an engineering qualification, have relevant engineering experience, or be working towards a recognised engineering qualification.
