Location: Devon An established manufacturing organisation is looking for an experienced HR professional to join its on-site team in Devon. This is a broad, hands-on position supporting employees and managers across a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will provide practical HR guidance, help resolve complex employee matters and contribute to the continued development of local people processes. Key responsibilities Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers Manage employee relations matters, including absence, performance, conduct and grievance cases Support organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives Interpret and apply company policies, employment legislation and collective agreements Work constructively with employee representatives and trade unions Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and employee development Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and the overall employee experience Build trusted relationships across the site and wider organisation Contribute to projects and responsibilities beyond the immediate remit of the role Experience required Broad generalist HR experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing, engineering, automotive, aerospace, food, pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environment Experience supporting an operational or site-based workforce Knowledge of UK employment law and good HR practice Experience working with trade unions or within a unionised environment Confidence managing sensitive and complex employee relations cases Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills A practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach CIPD qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous This opportunity would suit an ambitious and energetic HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
