What You’ll Do
- Manage VAT reporting compliance across various European and international markets, ensuring deadlines are met with precision.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, Intrastat, SAF‑T, and other indirect tax documentation, utilizing Excel and tax technology tools.
- Reconcile VAT General Ledger accounts and sales data, resolving discrepancies proactively.
- Liaise with internal teams and external tax authorities during audits and compliance queries.
- Stay ahead of VAT legislation changes, advising stakeholders on implications and ensuring compliance.
- Support VAT standardisation, automation initiatives, and system maintenance to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in VAT compliance within a multinational or similar complex environment.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging with diverse audiences and cultures.
- Autonomous worker with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated team collaboration skills and stakeholder relationship management.
Nice to Have Skills
- Prior experience working with SAP or Oracle systems.
- Knowledge of VAT compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience supporting VAT audits and liaising with tax authorities.
- Familiarity with tax technology testing and implementation.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in tax, accounting, or finance.
- 2+ years’ VAT compliance experience in a multinational environment, ideally in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
