12 month contract

This is a high profile role sitting at the centre of the Communications, Marketing and Corporate Affairs function, acting as a trusted partner to the CCO and ensuring priorities, governance and operational activities run smoothly.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have progressed from a senior Executive Assistant or Executive Business Partner background into a broader business management, operations or chief of staff style role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive support to the Chief Communications Officer, ensuring priorities, actions and decisions are effectively managed.
  • Prepare high quality briefings, presentations, reports and stakeholder communications.
  • Support planning, governance and reporting activities across the function.
  • Line manage the CCO's Executive Assistant and help maintain a high quality support model.
  • Coordinate operational processes including budgets, approvals, sponsorships and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, governance and ways of working.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure effective delivery of key initiatives.

About You

  • 5+ years' experience supporting senior leaders at Executive or C Suite level.
  • Experience in a Business Manager, Executive Business Partner, Senior Executive Assistant or similar role.
  • Excellent written communication and drafting skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience supporting governance, planning, reporting or committee processes.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and handling sensitive information.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Share Point skills.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting Communications, Marketing or Corporate Affairs functions.
  • Experience managing or overseeing Executive Assistants within a shared support model.
  • Background within life sciences, research, healthcare, charity or other knowledge led environments.
  • Degree educated or equivalent experience.
