Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of HTA submissions for NICE, SMC, AWMSG, NCPE and other UK/Ireland bodies to secure national market access for the company's medicines.
  • Develop UK health economic and HTA strategy for new medicines and line extensions.
  • Manage and guide external market access agencies to ensure high-quality dossier development.
  • Partner with global and regional Value & Access teams to shape economic models, SLRs, NMAs and evidence packages for the UK HTA environment.
  • Represent the company in HTA appraisal meetings, responding to technical and strategic questions on the economic case.
  • Monitor competitor HTA activity and collaborate with Medical, Marketing and RWE teams to extract insights.
  • Support the UK Value & Access team in developing health economic tools to drive local payer adoption.
  • Contribute to early pipeline planning through horizon scanning and strategic deep dives.

Main Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a consultancy or pharmaceutical company (ideally pharma).
  • Proven experience leading NICE HTA submissions, including responsibility for full dossier development and delivery.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving a NICE outcome (positive or negative) from a submission they led.
  • Bonus: experience representing a company at NICE committee meetings.
  • Global HTA experience is beneficial, but candidates must have led a NICE submission with a UK affiliate.
