Associate Manager, FP&A

We’re partnering with a leading organisation within the pharmaceutical / life sciences sector to appoint an experienced Associate Manager, FP&A to join their UK & Ireland finance team.

This is a hands‑on, commercially focused role supporting the Senior Finance Manager and working cross-functionally across sales, marketing, operations, and accounting.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in strengthening the finance function, delivering insight‑driven analysis and supporting strategic decision‑making across the UKI cluster.

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Analyse financial results, budgets and forecasts to identify trends and variances
• Prepare dashboards and reports for senior stakeholders
• Deliver clear commentary on performance, risks and opportunities

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support annual budgeting and long‑range planning processes
• Partner with business leaders on periodic forecasts
• Track performance vs budget and recommend corrective actions

Month‑End & Accounting Support

• Work closely with the central accounting hub during close cycles
• Support revenue, gross‑to‑net, accruals, deferrals, and inventory reconciliations
• Reconcile SAP transactions vs budget and forecast

Cost Management

• Monitor departmental spend and investigate SAP transactions (POs etc.)
• Partner with budget holders to optimise cost structures

Ad‑Hoc & Business Partnering

• Deliver analysis to support strategic initiatives
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to generate actionable insight
  

  What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years’ experience in FP&A / Commercial Finance / Finance Business Partnering
  • Mandatory experience within Pharmaceuticals / Life Sciences
  • Strong hands‑on SAP experience
  • Proven budgeting and forecasting ownership
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, inventory and regulatory considerations within pharma
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, less structured environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly
