An established, UK-based engineering manufacturer is seeking a skilled Aftermarket Service Engineer to join their technical service team. This role is focused on on-site servicing, testing, and revalidation of high-performance containment and clean air systems used in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. This is a field-based position involving regular travel across the UK and occasional international assignments. You’ll be representing a respected brand known for its technical excellence and commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out annual on-site servicing, testing, and upgrades of containment and airflow equipment.
- Perform airflow testing, HEPA filter integrity testing (DOP), particle counting, pressure calibration, and electrical fault finding.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment, ensuring up-to-date certification.
- Work to strict technical specifications and company testing procedures.
- Professionally identify and communicate potential sales opportunities (spares, upgrades, service contracts).
- Complete all service documentation, site reports, and test records accurately and on time.
- Support other business activities such as equipment relocations and system upgrades.
- Maintain excellent health and safety standards and customer communication at all times.
About You
- You’ll have a strong technical background and thrive in a customer-facing, autonomous field role.
- You’ll be someone who enjoys solving problems and working with precision instrumentation and containment systems.
- Airflow and filter integrity testing.
- Calibration and DOP testing.
- Hands-on servicing or commissioning in an engineering environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering.
- Knowledge of cleanroom or containment systems (GMP / pharmaceutical sector).
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems.
- Awareness of ISO standards and safety procedures.
