What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Proven experience in health economic modelling, with approximately 7+ years for Principal level or a comparable background for Junior candidates.
- Hands‑on development of at least 10 health economic models from scratch, including 4 cost‑effective models, supported by publications or documented project deliverables.
- Expertise in creating and adapting models such as decision trees, Markov models, partitioned survival, and multi‑state models.
- Strong technical skills: advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA), familiarity with R, Python, or other statistical software.
- Sound understanding of payer and HTA decision‑making processes across markets, especially within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex models clearly and authoritatively in publications and presentations.
- Effective project management capabilities, with a track record of delivering high‑quality work on time and within scope.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in developing budget impact models and cost models for payer negotiations.
- Prior involvement in multi‑market model adaptation for US and ex‑US HTA submissions.
- Knowledge of using real‑world data sources such as genomic, claims, or patient‑reported information.
- Proven publication record in peer‑reviewed journals and conference presentations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- A degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or related fields (minimum 2:1 or equivalent); postgraduate qualifications in health economics, biostatistics, epidemiology, or similar are advantageous.
- Over 7 years of professional experience in health economics modelling within the pharmaceutical or consulting sectors.
- Demonstrated project leadership and team collaboration skills to oversee model delivery and review.
