Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and motivated Transfer Pricing Manager to provide tax advice and supporting documentation, compliance, and reporting for existing businesses and new business initiatives. This position will be part of a team that works closely with business partners, including Group Finance, Group Legal, and global Commercial and technology teams, to understand business initiatives, prepare advice on the associated tax implications, provide actionable guidance and tax requirements for the businesses finance managers, and support reporting and compliance obligations. To be successful, the candidate must have demonstrated tax technical knowledge and a practical approach, with experience advising and project managing multi-territory business initiatives and multi-party transactions. Please note that the position is for 12 month fixed term, based in London/ UK, starting around mid-May 2026. Planet does not offer visa sponsorship, but candidates with a valid visa until April 2027 are considered.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Group Head of Tax, this position is responsible for delivering the planning, real time coordination, and communication of various tax-related projects, as well as collaborating with regional and local finance teams and business partner contacts. It requires preparation of appropriate level of documentation or evidentiary support for analyses performed, decisions taken, and conclusions reached for purposes of reporting and compliance. While the role is primarily tax advisory, the role also involves co-ordinating external tax advisers and finance managers to prepare the relevant compliance forms and returns.
- Act as the Transfer Pricing guide defining / securing / updating the Group Transfer Pricing policy
- Manage quarterly and year-end intercompany transaction TP calculations and review the resultant profitability of companies within the group to ensure the results reflect the relevant TP characterization profile and make suggestions for improvements where required
- Organize and coordinate the relevant information to be provided to Finance to implement intercompany invoicing in line with the Transfer Pricing policies
- Lead, coordinate, and contribute to the business on Transfer Pricing aspects to projects
- Participate in ad-hoc tax projects and M&A activities, focusing on the Transfer Pricing aspects. This includes also tax audits, and an on-going Profit Diversion Compliance Facility (PDCF) enquiry with HMRC.
- Identify and analyze relevant changes to international and local country tax developments, EU/OECD/BEPS updates on Transfer Pricing
- Take care of the preparation of Group Masterfile and Local Files to subsidiaries with the support of Planet’s Transfer Pricing Compliance Specialist
- Collaborate closely with local external transfer pricing advisors for local transfer pricing implementation and follow up on transfer pricing audits.
What you bring:
- Professional qualification in Tax or Accounting;
- A mixture of professional services and in-house tax experience preferred with the ability to work autonomously;
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant TP experience;
- Strong international tax and transfer pricing experience and the ability to build and continue enhancing tax models using Microsoft Excel;
- Successfully managed complex global projects and demonstrated experience with multiple tax jurisdictions;
- Team player with ability to work with individuals across functions and culture, and from all levels within the organization
- Effective interpersonal skills, both written and verbal;
- The ability to appreciate the ‘big picture’ and importance of a ‘holistic’ approach in balancing commercial issues and tax technical positions;
- Be a highly motivated, hands-on and hard-working, and able to work in an informal, fast paced, and often dynamic environment.
