We’re looking for a Translation Project Manager to join our dynamic team at Planet Languages Ltd, a well-established Language Services Provider with an excellent reputation for high quality and exceptional customer service.
About the Role:
As a Translation Project Manager, you’ll manage multilingual projects from inception to delivery. You will collaborate with clients, linguists, and our in-house team to ensure high-quality outcomes while meeting deadlines and budgets. A keen interest and/or prior experience in computing or programming would be a significant advantage, as we strive to integrate cutting-edge tools and technologies into our workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee translation and localization projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, typesetters and freelance linguists
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
- Implement and optimize translation technologies, including CAT tools and localization software
- Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate on process improvements
- Maintain meticulous documentation and reporting for all projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Project Management, or a related field
- Fluency in English and two other languages preferred
- Proven experience in project management, ideally within translation or localization
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Office skills
- Ability to learn new skills, technologies and workflows quickly
- Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g., memoQ, SDL Trados) and localization platforms
- Interest in computing or programming (Python or other coding knowledge would a big plus!)
