Planet Intelligent Technology is on a mission to empower businesses with the best IT solutions. We are growing rapidly and are looking for an experienced onsite Support Engineer to join our team and help our clients achieve high levels of operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Provide second‐line technical support to clients at the Hampton and Guildford sites.
- Act as the escalation point of contact for team members and customers.
- Respond promptly to incidents and service requests, ensuring adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of client systems, networks and applications.
- Collaborate with various support teams to resolve complex issues comprehensively.
- Document support activities, create knowledge‐base articles, and drive continuous improvement.
- Be flexible and willing to travel between Hampton and Guildford sites.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to supporting the wider team and handling technical challenges.
- Strong multitasking ability in a fast‐paced environment.
- Attention to detail and genuine interest in technology.
- Self‐motivated and committed to personal growth and team success.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11, including OS installation.
- Windows Server administration experience.
- Office 365 administration skills.
- Active Directory administration skills.
- Antivirus software support.
- Microsoft Office support.
- Software application installation and troubleshooting.
- Printer installation and troubleshooting.
- Support for hybrid infrastructure and networking.
- Experience with IP phone systems.
- Hardware troubleshooting, including CPUs, memory, disk storage.
- Use of ITSM toolsets.
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware failures such as power, storage, or display issues.
