About Planet: Shaping the future of live events. Live events are the highest-fan-intent moment, where more followers become fans but that energy disappears the moment the show ends. Planet exists to change that. We are building the system for live events to give the intelligence and tools to make every fan feel known, every moment to feel personal, and every show the start of something longer lasting.

Sounds great, what's my part in this? We are looking for someone that can translate this approach to our biggest music partners, ensuring we understand their needs and servicing them to give the most value whilst also building relationships at every level of their business. This will involve working with labels in the UK, US, and major management companies across the globe. You will have account management support to help keep these partnerships on track, so you can focus on key account growth as much as possible in your day to day.

Your main focuses will be:

  • Building relationships with key partners, in particular commercial; e-commerce, audience and digital teams in labels and management companies.
  • Understanding the needs of these partners through deep knowledge of their artists and their business challenges and opportunities to identify growth opportunities within each account.
  • Be the lead on growing these accounts through your knowledge of the category, with the ability to clearly articulate clear use cases and ROI for the Planet product.
  • Working cross functionally and collaborating with product, marketing and operations to develop the offering, thinking like a fan.
  • Always looking for new opportunities to partner with the industry and be a powerful product and service to any suitable new partner, working closely with your team to unlock new accounts and partnerships.
  • A chance to build a team as these accounts grow, expanding the business into new markets.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has 5+ years of experience in the music industry/adjacent with demonstrable experience in a commercial, account management or partnerships role - ideally with a background working closely with labels and great relationships across the industry.
  • Has an equal level of comfort with being a networker whilst also having a detail orientated approach to everything that you do, with strong written presentation skills.
  • Experience in leading and growing accounts, stakeholder management and strong communication, using a storytelling approach.
  • Comfortable translating product features into compelling partner-facing narratives.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to spot opportunities and take the lead in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of building something new, and pushing ourselves and partners to go against the status quo.
  • Is passionate about artists and their right to have control over their own fan relationships.
  • Is a music fan. Everyone at Planet loves music at their core and having the mentality of a fan is really important in absolutely everything we do.

What's it like working at Planet? We’re a hybrid team that values flexibility to do our best work. We’re based in Highbury with good coffee and plenty of comfortable space to do your best work. Our commercial and product teams aim to work together in person 2/3 days a week in our London office, whilst also being out and about at meetings with partners a couple of days a week. We are big on collaboration. We have a pretty structured process in place and want to help career progression, with fortnightly one-on-ones, monthly creative sessions and quarterly get-togethers to involve everyone in the journey we are on. We also take some time each month to reflect and celebrate what we’ve learned and achieved.

What’s in it for me? A competitive salary based on your experience with incentives based on performance and company success. Joining at an exciting time as we approach our series A funding round, where we are confident in our product market fit and industry partnerships. 25 days holiday plus UK public holidays as well as the period between Christmas and New Year as paid time off on top of the above (on a discretionary basis). A hybrid approach to work - the ability to work regularly from the office, whilst also having flexible working hours. An output focused team who trust in you to run your own responsibilities. A quarterly allowance to spend on going to live gigs.

What to expect next from us: First up is a chat with one of the founding team to learn more about you, tell you more about our product, business and culture. After that we would love to see some of your ideas in action in a more detailed discussion with the core team you will be working with. To apply send us a short summary of what excites you about the role along with your CV.
