The Opportunity

Plan International is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join the Legal team. This is an entry-level post and involves working largely within the Governance, Legal, Assurance and Risk Group, Global Hub and/or online with colleagues across Plan International to deliver a high-quality service in relation to Plan's legal claims management. This is a 3-month fixed-term role to provide paralegal support to the Legal and Legal Compliance Teams, with particular focus on the collection, review, and organisation of legal documentation and information from a legacy to new IT platform.

The Person

  • Experience of working in a legal or compliance team.
  • A degree in law or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online collaboration tools.
  • Experience with knowledge and information management.
  • Strong organisation and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly effective communicator in writing and in person/online.
  • Eagerness to develop skills and knowledge in relation to legal claims management and registration management in INGO sector.
  • A pro-active team player with a flexible and dynamic approach.
  • Fast learner who can deliver to multiple deadlines.
  • Calm and effective under pressure.
  • Positive, constructive, solution-oriented approach.

Location: Hybrid/Remote Woking, UK. You must have the pre-existing right to live and work in the UK.

Type of Role: 3-month fixed-term contract, preferably to start January 2025.
