Credit Controller

Job Title: Credit Controller (6-Month FTC)

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Contract Type: Fixed Term (6 months)

Start Date: ASAP

We’re looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join client’s Finance Division on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fully remote role, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a considered, professional approach to debt management.

You’ll be working with a wide range of wholesale and manufacturing suppliers, many of whom operate within complex supply chains and varied financial structures. Your ability to communicate clearly, manage long-term debt, and navigate escalations effectively will be key to success.

What will the role entail

• Managing overdue accounts, with a focus on aged and long-term debt
• Leading the escalation process where appropriate to drive resolution
• Building strong relationships with suppliers across the wholesale and manufacturing sectors
• Adapting to changing priorities in a calm and focused manner
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting using advanced Excel skills

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in credit control, ideally with exposure to wholesale and/or manufacturing suppliers
• Confident working within Excel. The ability to do Pivot Tables and V Look Ups would be beneficial but can always be taught too provided you’re confident and up for the challenge to learn these skills
• Confident communicator able to work with suppliers of all sizes and complexities. You’ll need to be happy to pick up the phone to suppliers and develop successful relationships with them.
• A pragmatic, professional and solutions-focused approach to debt management
• Comfortable managing workloads independently in a remote setup
• Ability to operate effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
