We’re hiring an Automatic Door Engineer to join our South Wales team, covering Cardiff and Swansea. This role suits experienced Automatic Door Engineers and engineers from PPM, Field Service, or electrical maintenance backgrounds looking to move into the automatic door industry. You’ll be part of a global entrance solutions provider delivering high‑performance automatic doors and access systems across retail, healthcare, transport and commercial sites.
Role Overview
You’ll carry out service, maintenance and repairs on sliding, swing and revolving automatic doors across the Cardiff and Swansea region. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong electrical fault‑finding skills who wants structured training, long‑term stability and clear progression.
Key Duties
- Automatic door servicing — sliding, swing and revolving systems
- Electrical checks — sensors, controls, diagnostics
- BS EN 16005 compliance — safety checks and documentation
- Breakdown response — delivering first‑time fixes
- Installations and commissioning
Ideal Candidate
- Automatic Door experience OR PPM / Field Service / electrical maintenance background
- Full UK driving licence + relevant operating licences
- Confident working independently across customer sites
- Positive, reliable and customer‑focused approach
Salary & Benefits
- Experienced Automatic Door Engineer: up to £40,400
- PPM / Field Service (entry level): up to £34,000
- £200 weekly on‑call premium (£2,400 per year)
