With rising customer demand and a commitment to delivering industry-leading service, we’re now looking to grow our engineering team that covers the Sheffield, Doncaster and Rotherham areas. This is an opportunity to join a leading global entrance solutions provider known for high-performance automatic doors, pedestrian systems and innovative access solutions used across retail, healthcare, transport and commercial environments.

Role Overview

You’ll support customers across South Yorkshire, carrying out service, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of automatic door systems. Your work will include:

  • Servicing, repairing and fault-finding on sliding, swing and revolving doors
  • Electrical checks, sensor testing and control system diagnostics
  • Completing BS EN 16005 safety checks and compliance documentation
  • Attending breakdowns and delivering first-time fixes where possible
  • Supporting installations and commissioning when required
  • Providing clear updates and a professional on-site service

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for an engineer who brings technical capability, reliability and a customer-focused approach. You’ll need:

  • Experience with automatic doors
  • Strong fault-finding skills and basic electrical knowledge
  • A full UK driving licence + relevant operating licences
  • Confidence working independently across customer sites
  • A positive attitude and commitment to high-quality engineering

Salary & Rewards

£38k plus £2400 on-call allowance. On-call premium: £200 per week (£2,400 per year). Premium overtime (time and a half & double time). Monthly bonuses (£200–£600). 33 days holiday (25 + bank holidays). 4-week technical training programme + ongoing development. Modern van, tools, tablet, mobile, uniform and fuel card.
