We are urgently recruiting for an experienced contract consultant to support a key client project delivering a structured gap analysis between the customer proposed Project Management Institute (PMI) PMBOK framework and the existing Association for Project Management (APM) Body of Knowledge model.

The Opportunity

This engagement sits within a complex programme environment and requires someone who can move quickly, work calmly under pressure, and produce clear, high-quality written outputs that can be used immediately by senior stakeholders.

The Role

The focus of the work is to compare and translate between two governance and delivery models, identifying practical differences across process groups, governance arrangements, and programme controls. The successful consultant will be able to interpret customer-led and contractual process requirements, synthesise findings into a structured deliverable, and provide practical recommendations for alignment and integration. This is not academic work. It requires real-world implementation experience and strong professional judgement.

The Profile

We are open to experienced consultants at Senior Consultant to Managing Consultant level, with strong experience in programme governance, process redesign, assurance, PMO, or programme management. You must be confident working across PMI PMBOK (primary requirement) and APM Body of Knowledge (highly beneficial), and able to translate methodological differences into practical governance solutions. Experience in nuclear, regulated infrastructure, or major capital programmes is strongly preferred, alongside credible stakeholder engagement in UK and international environments.
