Our client, a global software business, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of UK-based production systems, working directly with clients and supporting business-critical applications in a secure, regulated environment.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role where you will act as the UK technical authority, ensuring system availability, stability, and performance across live production environments. You will sit at the centre of production operations, bridging UK clients and offshore engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in a modern cloud + DevOps environment
- Strong experience in production support, DevOps, or application support environments
- Solid knowledge of AWS or Azure
- Good SQL Server experience in a production setting (query optimisation, performance awareness)
- Incident & Application Support (L2/L3): Lead complex incident resolution, root cause analysis, and act as escalation point during live issues
- DevOps & Cloud Engineering: Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and drive improvements across AWS/Azure environments, monitoring, and reliability
- Database Performance (SQL Server): Support SQL query optimisation and resolve performance and data-related issues
Bonus: Understanding of UK data compliance (GDPR, data residency)
