Plaid’s Mid-Market Sales team is responsible for helping the most innovative, high-growth companies across Europe become fintech-enabled. We partner with product, engineering, and commercial leaders at top startups and scale-ups to bring Plaid’s platform into their stack. We act as strategic advisors and growth enablers — we don’t just sell; we unlock financial freedom for everyone by expanding Plaid’s reach into new use cases, sectors, and markets.

As a Strategic Account Executive in our European business, you will lead full-cycle sales with high-potential companies who are building the next generation of financial services. You’ll own relationships from first touch through close, driving consultative sales motions with technical and commercial stakeholders. You’ll be a key player in shaping how Plaid scales its mid-market motion across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and close new business with upper mid-market high-growth European companies
  • Own the full sales cycle from sourcing and qualification through to contracting and handoff
  • Guide product and engineering teams through technical evaluation of Plaid’s APIs and data products
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline with a mix of inbound and outbound opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AMs, Solutions, Risk, Product) to drive successful deals
  • Evangelise Plaid’s value across fintech and adjacent verticals
  • Contribute to the development of scalable mid-market processes and best practices in a growing region
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of full-cycle sales experience in a quota-carrying role
  • Proven success in consultative, technical sales (ideally £75k+ ACV)
  • Experience selling to product, engineering, technical and leadership
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Clear communicator with a collaborative, team-first mindset
  • A passion for FinTech, and a pulse on market trends.
  • (Nice to have) Experience in FinTech, Payments, or API-first companies
  • (Nice to have) Familiarity with the regulatory or compliance landscape in the UK/EU
  • (Nice to have) Fluency in a second European language
