We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe.

As an Enterprise Account Manager on our Account Management team, you'll own and grow a portfolio of Plaid's most strategic customers across the UK and Europe, spanning leading fintechs, banks, and enterprise accounts. This is a growth role: you'll be the trusted advisor your customers call on directly for guidance on how to build and deliver a seamless product experience, and you'll use that relationship to identify and deploy new, innovative use cases across your book. You will own commercial growth end to end, from renewals through to multi-product expansion, working closely with Sales, Product, Solutions Engineering, and Legal to get there.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of Plaid's largest and most strategic UK & European enterprise customers.
  • Build deep, trusted-advisor relationships with executive sponsors and day-to-day operators, so customers come to you first for product and strategic guidance.
  • Proactively grow the account: identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing book and convert them into deployed use cases.
  • Deploy new, innovative use cases across some of the leading fintechs and banks in the UK and Europe.
  • Lead commercial conversations including renewals, expansions, and strategic partnership discussions.
  • Act as a strategic consultant, bringing industry insight, product guidance, and data-driven recommendations to customer conversations.
  • Lead key customer initiatives: business reviews, operational checkpoints, product launches, and technical escalations.
  • Develop account strategies that balance near-term commercial execution with long-term customer growth.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, Engineering, Support, and Legal to drive outcomes.
  • Advocate for customers internally, surfacing feedback and market insight that influences Plaid's product direction.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in a client-facing commercial role: Account Management, Strategic Partnerships, Consulting, or Business Development.
  • Demonstrated success growing enterprise relationships and revenue within an existing book of business.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of driving renewals, expansions, and multi-product growth.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex organisations and build relationships at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support.
  • Comfortable operating and travelling across UK and European markets; familiarity with the regional fintech and banking landscape and regulatory context (e.g. PSD2, regulated landscape) is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • High degree of ownership, curiosity, and customer empathy.
