As a Site Services Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the operational integrity of our facilities. This hands-on position involves a broad range of responsibilities across building fabric, plumbing, gas systems, HVAC, and joinery. You’ll ensure that all site services are safe, compliant, and functioning efficiently, supporting both reactive and planned maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on:
- Building fabric (walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows)
- Gas installations (boilers, pipework, compliance checks)
- Joinery tasks (doors, fittings, furniture repairs)
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and emergencies
- Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers when external services are required
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health & safety regulations and company policies
- Assist in minor project works and refurbishments as directed by the Site Services Manager
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
Bring your experience
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance or engineering role
- Strong knowledge of building systems and services
- Competence in joinery and general building maintenance
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant trade (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, mechanical engineering)
- City & Guilds or equivalent in HVAC or building services (preferred)
- Health & Safety training (e.g., IOSH, manual handling, working at height)
