The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

As the Engineering Trainer, you will be fully responsible for delivering high-quality Engineering Training, supporting the recruitment and onboarding of site Engineering Apprentices and guiding their development throughout the programme.

Key Deliverables:

  • Maintain the comprehensive Training matrix covering all Engineering capability requirements.
  • Design and deliver Train the Trainer programmes to build internal capability.
  • Facilitate the bi-annual training days to deliver compliance and engineering training.
  • Deliver high-quality technical training on:
    • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM’s)
    • Machine size changes
    • Guard removal and refitting
    • General lubrication procedures
    • Machine adjustments, set-up and parts replacement
  • Create, amend, verify and maintain DSOP’s (Dynamic Standard Operating Procedures) for all training areas, ensuring all DSOP’s are accurate, compliant and aligned with site Engineering standards.
  • Conduct competency assessments and sign-off engineers/apprentices once training is completed.
  • Carry out assessments as part of the ATM Recruitment process.
  • Complete annual training gap analysis and develop targeted training plans to address capability gaps.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding and management of Engineering Apprentices.
  • Guide and support apprentices through their learning journey, ensuring progress against the apprenticeship framework.
  • Use SFOL (or equivalent systems) to create KPI’s and dashboards that measure training effectiveness and completion rates.
  • Provide regular reporting on training, progress, competency development, and compliance levels.

Experience Required:

  • Experience with training-based programmes in the engineering field.
  • Identifying skills gaps and providing solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with facilitating training-based needs.
  • A background in engineering training.
