The FP&A Reporting Analyst sits within the FP&A team and is responsible for the management accounting, performance reporting, forecasting support and financial analysis for the UK Export business. The role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reporting for the UK Export business. Working closely with the wider FP&A team, Export Commercial teams and the offshore finance function, the analyst helps ensure reporting is accurate and correctly reflects profitability by region. The role is well suited to an analytically strong individual who can get to grips with detail and show a commitment to continuous improvement. The focus of the role is on accuracy, control and reliability, building trusted reporting foundations for the UK Export business.

Key Deliverables:

  • Management Reporting & Performance Analysis: Own the production of monthly management reporting for the UK Export business, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and clearly presented. Review and verify manual journals prepared by the offshore teams. Maintain a comprehensive reconciliation of reported COGs each month. Prepare analysis of actual performance versus Budget, Prior Forecast & Prior Year. Ensure reporting outputs are consistent, well reconciled and aligned to FP&A standards.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Pricing Support: Support the annual operating plan and quarterly forecast cycles for UK Export and coordinate all inputs for the financial submission ensuring completeness and timeliness. Oversee controls related to pricing for the Export regions.
  • Governance, Controls & Process Improvement: Ensure reporting and analysis comply with group accounting policies and FP&A governance standards. Perform checks and reconciliations to ensure data integrity and quality. Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation and insight. Support improvements to existing business processes and the implementation of new processes.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Support: Work closely with the wider FP&A team, Accounting and Export business partners to ensure a joined‑up financial view. Support and guide colleagues in the offshore finance function, providing clear instructions and feedback. Act as a reliable point of contact for reporting and analysis queries relating to UK Export performance. Support the Financial Accountant and other stakeholders with ad‑hoc analysis and requests as required.

Experience Required:

  • Analytical experience within Finance, FP&A or a related analytical role.
  • Excellent Excel skills and strong capability in handling and analysing financial data.
  • Ability to explain financial performance clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience in an FMCG or consumer goods environment.
  • Previous exposure to FP&A, management reporting or forecasting.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, JD Edwards).
  • Exposure to OneStream or similar planning / reporting tools.
  • Part‑qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) or studying towards qualification.

Interview Process:

  • Initial Telephone call with Talent Acquisition.
  • 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency‑based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
  • 2nd stage interview – 90 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.
  • pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process.
