Team Manager Production Services – Nightshift
The role is available on a rotational 3 on and 3 off pattern including weekends covering night shift (12-hour shifts, 7pm to 7am).

What will this role achieve?
This role is based at our Aintree factory, home to the production of savoury products for our Jacobs brand.
- You’ll be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and movement of materials into the production process, ensuring the successful delivery of the factory’s production plan.
- You’ll oversee the storage and movement of finished goods (where applicable), helping to maximise customer service to both our customers and company distribution centres.
- You’ll also manage the operational overhead budget for the Production Service function, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.
What will be your key deliverables?
- Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and motivate direct reports, ensuring performance management is in place and skill levels are maintained through ongoing development and support.
- Operational Delivery: Maintain delivery and loading schedules to support excellent customer service, address performance issues constructively, and ensure Production Services is always audit-ready and compliant with relevant standards (e.g. AEO).
- Communication & Collaboration: Ensure timely and effective communication across all levels of the site, including regular team briefings, to foster strong working relationships and alignment.
- Customer & Continuous Improvement Focus: Promote a strong customer service mindset (internal and external), support issue resolution, and drive improvements in service, quality, and safety—particularly around FLT operations and stock variance resolution.
- Compliance, Safety & Decision-Making: Uphold health and safety standards, lead by example in promoting a behavioural safety culture, maintain discipline in line with company policy, and hold authority for recruitment and disciplinary actions within the warehouse team.

- Experience of working in distribution and/or manufacturing management
Desirable
- Experience of managing on a site with high union membership
- Experience of servicing all aspects of manufacturing, including Waste Management
- Industry recognised Safety & Hygiene courses completed

What will the interview process be?
- 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
- 2nd stage interview – 60 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.
pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process. Some processes may differ, but we will keep you updated!
