The Senior Business Insights Manager is an impact‐driven business partner responsible for translating complex quantitative and qualitative research into clear, action‐orientated insights that drive business value. This is an impact manager role, reporting to the Head of Business Insights. Success is defined by the ability to influence decisions, shape direction and unlock value, rather than by producing large volumes of analysis or reporting. The role requires strong judgement, confidence operating in ambiguity and the ability to prioritise effectively, with a clear focus on maximising value to the business.
The primary value of the role comes through targeted, action‐orientated storytelling. The Senior Business Insights Manager synthesises large volumes of complex data into simple, compelling narratives tailored to the audience and the decision at hand. This involves identifying true performance drivers, clearly articulating implications for the business, and shaping the story ahead of stakeholder discussions. Insight is expected to lead directly to action, with clear recommendations and defined next steps.
In parallel, the role is accountable for proactively identifying and shaping growth opportunities. The Business Insights Manager collaborates closely with commercial and marketing stakeholders to explore opportunities, pressure‐test ideas and clearly define the conditions required for success. The role exists to provide a single version of the truth, working closely with commercial, marketing and agency stakeholders to draw insight from category, consumer, shopper and business data (internal and external). By bringing together multiple data sources and perspectives, the Business Insights Manager curates one aligned understanding of performance, growth opportunities and the conditions required for success, ensuring decisions are grounded in a coherent view rather than fragmented or competing analysis.
Ensuring insight is built on robust, efficient and scalable foundations is a core responsibility of the role. The Business Insights Manager instils confidence in data accuracy and consistency among stakeholders, ensuring insights are trusted and decision‐ready. They play a key role in enabling stakeholders to fully leverage best‐in‐class Power BI reporting suites through clear guidance, training and support, driving greater self‐serve capability. Working collaboratively with analytics, technology providers, agencies and offshore partners, the role supports the systemisation and simplification of processes from a business‐expert perspective, reducing duplication and manual effort while ensuring insight delivery remains fit for purpose.
Operating in a fast‐paced environment, the role acts as a trusted partner who can challenge constructively, bring clarity to complexity and support senior stakeholders in making better, faster and more aligned decisions. By combining strong analytical capability with commercial focus and compelling storytelling, the Business Insights Manager ensures insight consistently translates into action and tangible business impact.
