This role provides crucial financial decision support and performance reporting to the Site Leadership team at Harlesden, ensuring that financial accounting and control requirements of the manufacturing site are met accurately and on time. The successful candidate will develop financial awareness among Cost Centre Managers, manage the site capital investment process, and support the management team in controlling and forecasting the cost base.
Key Deliverables
- Formulate decisions, plans, and strategies on a sound commercial and financial basis.
- Review and report performance against agreed budgets and forecasts, and drive the formulation of meaningful action plans to meet objectives.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and group accounting procedures, highlight concerns, and take corrective action.
- Lead the financial control of the site investment program.
- Provide financial leadership of the site as a member of the Site Leadership team.
- Manage and develop the site finance team.
- Mentor the Site operational team on financial matters.
- Support other site finance roles as required.
Qualifications
- CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant or equivalent with a proven track record.
- Positive demeanor with a desire to challenge and drive improvement.
- Experience in making sophisticated financial analysis understandable within an FMCG/manufacturing background.
- Track record of providing robust and informative financial analysis, including planning and forecasting.
- Experience in financial analysis, modelling, and investment appraisal techniques.
- Demonstrated communication and leadership ability, with the gravitas to build solid working relationships cross‑functionally.
- Desire to challenge the status quo.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
- Costing experience in the FMCG/manufacturing arena.
- Experience in financial reporting and control.
- Knowledge of SAP or other relevant systems and ability to learn quickly.
